  Spiral ignitors are often more expensive than the comparable flat ignitors. However, with 46% more surface area, the spirals generally degrade at a slower rate; usually spiral ignitors can be expected to give more years of satisfactory service than flat ignitors.
Do not mix product types as similar ignitors are manufactured with special electrical characteristics depending upon the product use. Range, dryer, and furnace ignitors are not interchangeable.

Smart ValveTM System pilot burners provide pilot flame ignition and sensing for the SV9500/SV9600 Systems. They consist of a replaceable ignitor-flame rod assem- bly, bracket assembly, pilot target, ground electrode, ori- fice assembly, compression fitting and springclip. The ignitor lights the pilot burner. The flame rod proves the pilot flame and the pilot flame lights the main burner.
